100 pesetas 1 Mayo 1900 front proof, P.51p. Classic 100 pesetas Spanish banknote dedicated on the front with bust of the great writer of the Golden Age Don Francisco de Quevedo.
Reverse in bright brown print inks with a classic drawing of Minerva with laurel wreath in the left hand and olive branch in the right hand, beside it two cherubs representing Agriculture and Fine Arts next to Horn of Plenty. (Reverse of a sublime artistic group).
This Specimen is a proof of state finished on original paper of the issuance of a 50 pesetas banknote.
It has a beautiful watermark with an Apollo head at upper center, "50" at left border and the initials "B. E. "(Bank of Spain)
An extreme rarity for its exquisite conservation and great rarity.
It does not even exist in the Bank of Spain collection.
